Writing is not that hard
Once upon a time, I had a desire to start writing publicly.
I had some ideas about what I was going to write.
I opened the text editor and told myself, “Now I’m going to start writing.”
Blank screen. White empty screen.
It was so confusing to see this emptiness.
Within a minute, myself start questioning and doubting.
You are not an expert writer. What will you tell the reader?
How will you express yourself? What will you include?
How are you going to format it?
You need a structure according to the best practices.
Great articles are typically between 1,000 and 2,000 words in length.
And so on…
I quickly closed the text editor.
A long time passed and I asked myself.
What went wrong with my attempt to write?
Why facing the blank screen was so frustrating?
Am I sure I know what writing is?
What’s writing intended for? Beyond creating articles, news, and media, to fulfill the reader’s requirements?
Writing is also a skill to expressing your authentic self.
Writing is a way to think more clearly.
Writing concisely clarifies thinking, eliminating unnecessary information.
It doesn’t have to perfectly written.
It doesn’t have to be 100% grammarly correct.
It doesn’t have to follow the so called best practices.
It doesn’t have to be reader oriented only.
It doesn’t have to be a certain length.
It’s not intented for the experts only.
Writing is for everyone!
Write for yourself.
Write about your own interests.
Leave your ego and worries about what others might think of you and your writing.
Write for joy!
